Hard Water & Heavy Stains
Normal soap scum and light hard-water buildup are cleaned as part of the bathroom descale. Heavy hard-water stains, lime/calcium scale, or heavy stains that need extra time or special products may need an added fee. Extra fees are approved by the customer first.
Additional Fees May Be Applied For The Following
- The technician(s) are not able to begin or perform services & must standby as a result of items having to be picked up before the cleaning service can begin, or they are not able to enter the home due to reasons outside of their control, etc.
- The cleaning service is canceled and/or rescheduled without a minimum of 48 hours of notice before the time of the scheduled cleaning service.
- Debris, clothing, toys, makeup, &/or other items are covering any areas to be cleaned.
- If additional labor, time, and/or chemicals are required to remove excessive dirt, grime, stains, pet dander, paint, residue, adhesive, etc. from any surface(s).
- Power, heat, air conditioner, and/or running water are not available at the time of scheduled service.
- Paint removal from surfaces, tough lime/calcium scale deposits that require special chemicals or labor to remove them, an excessive amount of soap scum buildup, heavy hard water stains, and/or built up burned on foods and/or stains in the oven, on the stove top and/or drip pans, or vent hood.
(NOTE: It’s more economical to replace the stove top drip pans, if they require more than a simple spray & wipe.)
Important Notes
- The customer is responsible for moving any heavy appliances. Our technicians may move some appliances depending on the floor surface underneath and in front of the appliance. Also, the appliances must be on wheels.
- When heavy appliances are located on certain floor types such as soft linoleum, hardwood, etc., Starlight Cleaning considers it a liability for our technicians to move, or attempt to move, them because it has been known to result in damage to the floor and/or appliance.
- Starlight Cleaning does not guarantee removal of all stains, spots, residue, etc.
- “Additional fees” must be approved by the customer before that particular service can be provided as part of the cleaning service.
- If there are five or more live bugs or insects, including wasps, bees, roaches, or spiders, in the living area during the scheduled cleaning, we reserve the right to refuse service. The cleaning may be postponed until the pest issue is resolved, and a trip charge could be applied.
- If power, lights, heat, air conditioning, and/or running water are not available at the time of the scheduled cleaning service, we reserve the right to refuse service. The cleaning may be postponed until these utilities are restored, and a trip charge could be applied.
